This volumes just give me fear and anxiety. Oh god, they fight both Tyki and Road (might be the strongest Noah clan, idk). Allen and Lavi were really struggle here.
But heyyy, General Cross, Allen's master finallyyy here. He so funny and Allen being traumatized here omg.
Still an intense volumes, but we can see it would end soon
One of my absolute favorite arcs in D.Gray-man—the one that really shines a spotlight on my fave Bookman Junior, Lavi! 🔥📖
The battle sequences? INTENSE. 💥 One fight after another, no time to breathe—and both Lavi and Allen were literally on the edge of collapse when Cross Marian made his dramatic entrance. Talk about perfect timing 😭🙌
Lavi’s development in this arc hits hard. You can feel his inner conflict as a Bookman versus his bond with the team. He’s smart, loyal, emotional—just such a well-written character. And the action? Chef’s kiss 👊💫
If you're into deep lore, emotional stakes, unforgettable characters, and high-octane battles—this arc is a MUST-read. I’ll never get tired of rereading it. 🖤

Love to see character backstories. Love how Lavi wins half of his fights by using his brain rather than his hammer. My boy is so smart *hearteyes*. And finally that ending is just *chef kiss*
Destruction, despair, and things exploding become a bit repetitive. Cross made an impressive entrance, utterly not impressing me. The conclusion to Lavi and Road’s game was intriguing, possibly beginning something a bit more complicated than whatever is going on with Allen. Speaking of complicated, there’s still something going on between Allen and Tyki. I’m alternately annoyed and impressed by Chaoji. Lenalee’s helplessness is no fun. For all the spectacular entrances and attacks, what really kept me invested were the moments between Tyki and Allen, plus the very sweet scenes between Lavi and Allen. I wasn’t sure what to make of the one-sided perviness of the omake. The artwork remains beautiful, bringing intensity to the moments I enjoyed. Even though this volume disappointed me in some ways, I’m hopeful of more to come in the next which won’t.

Rating: 4.1
This volume, Chaoji fights with Allen, and then actually is resonating with an innocenese. I honestly always forget about Chaoji. We also get to see Chaoji feeling survivor's guilt about Anita and her crew.(Which is honestly so real.)
Allen does still try to hold to saving everyone(baby you cant save everyone).. I did like Lavi's mental journey. Road's power has always been so interesting to me.
I'll be interested to see where this arc goes, because I've read it before but I don't quite remember the ending of this arc.
Our characters are still trying to get out of the Ark, and are facing off against Road and her dream world. We learn a little more about Lavi, and Chaoji suddenly becomes way more than a minor character. I also really liked finally seeing General Cross "in person" - his entrance was just about as dramatic as it should be. Also to note - it's really amazing how much Hoshino's art has been refined since volume 1.
Just as this start to really look bleak, General Cross appears to save the day - at least for the clean people which Allen and Lavi don't qualify as. And, of course, the Millenium Earl shows up just to be a jerk. We'll see how this all goes in the next one. It seems a pity that Chaoji might be dead right as he starts to be revealed as being capable of being an exorcist.
3.5/5 The team is still battling the Noah in the Ark. This entire volume is pretty much all one huge battle scene. We are finally introduced to General Cross. It was a fun volume but I’m docking it because some of the fights were confusing. Neat cover featuring Lavi whom I didn’t initially recognize.
This volume--as impossible as it seemed to me when I started it--begins and concludes still within the Ark. It is nearly entirely Hoshino's impeccable blow-by-bow battle work, as several Noah rise from apparent death to continue the battle. Oh! and General Cross finally shows up.
:O Que buen tomo, la conciencia de mi hermana, estuvo buenísimo. Bravo! Bravo! El dibujo fue impecable, la historia entretenida, buenísimo, asi se simple (? Ahre
This arc still isn't over... also, her art style improved for characters but got worse for action about this part. Thankfully next vol will be onto new things.
Allen, Lenalee, and Lavi are face to face with two of the Noah clan, Road and Tyki Mikk, who stand between them and safely getting themselves and their friends out of the collapsing ark.
