I was happy to see the return of some of my favorite characters. The story was fun, adventurous, and fast-paced.

With how the previous book ended (#15) I was a bit wary about this one, but as I understand it, this book is like a newly created continuation? I guess it’s taken into account what the fans liked.

So with the 2 comrades (not naming them) back, this turned out into a better read.

I was wondering with all the amplification talismans gone what would Lina do? That was a believable workaround. Nice.

But… it was a short reunion! I wonder where the next book will go.

Un buen retorno al mundo de Slayers. El reencuentro entre personajes está bien, y me gusta ver que Ameria haya evolucionado un poco, aunque el resto sigan igual. Amplía el universo entrando más en los elfos, y aunque vuelven a aparecer los Zanaffer, que están un poco sobados ya, consigue hacer un poco de crescendo con la amenaza. No deja de ser una aventurilla, pero al menos no se siente como un capítulo más de una serie como pasó con algunas de las anteriores.

Una gran vuelta, con grandes giros en la trama, pero tengo la sensación de que le falta algo de originalidad.
