Foxy and Piggy love to read. They share their reading adventures with each other, and describe all the wonderful characters they have met. They encounter mermaids and dragons. They fly on a magic carpet, and find buried treasure. Foxy goes to outer space on a rocket, and Piggy has tea with Alice and the Mad Hatter in Wonderland. The two friends decide to start a book club, so that they can go on even more reading adventures together!
I loved the sweet characters of Piggy and Foxy. They are so cute!! They bounce from story to story enjoying each adventure and happy to share the experience of reading with a friend.
I loved the various art styles in this book; each style is perfect for the story it illustrates. The colors are bright and eye-catching.
The writing is really well done. Rhyming narrative in picture books can be really overdone sometimes, but this writing fits perfectly with the storytelling and the characters. The rhymes are good, and pleasant to read aloud.
I think this book would really encourage children to read more, and especially to find the stories mentioned in this book like Peter Pan and Goldilocks and the Three Bears. This is the perfect book to inspire a child to read!

An adorable romp through some of our favorite fairy tales with a pair of friends who enjoy reading and sharing their literary adventures.
This was especially fun for us because we've recently started reading our way through these classics and are currently reading Peter Pan!
The illustrations are gorgeous. There's a night sky page that I couldn't stop fawning over. I also love that the leaves on the trees are pages of books with words on them. It added a lot of character and depth and made it a true 'book lover's book' in my book.
The Big Book Adventure is an endearing little storybook that I think we will treasure for some time to come. If you love children's classics and fairytales, this is a must!
Two friends sit by a tree sharing their adventures. One friend finds a small door in a tree and meets new friends at a tea party. He visits a mermaid and listens to a song and then skips through the woods with a little girl in a red hood. The other friend shares his adventures too and proudly boasts about meeting a tiny fairy who helps him to fly. Another adventure introduces him to fire breathing dragons and even a space alien. Can you guess how they went on all of these amazing adventures and met new friends?

A must-have picture book for any family that adores books. In it the two main characters talk about all the adventures they're having -- in books!
This is a fun one to read out loud since it’s in rhyming verse! I think it’d perfect for little ones who are just exploring the classics as they’ll recognize many of the stories that Piggy and Foxy are reading.
The illustrations are beautiful and change to fit the story they're currently discussing, so you get a real feel for living "in" the story.

A lovely tale of two friends discussing and sharing their favorite books. Both Piggy and Foxy love books, and love to tell each other about where their adventures in reading take them. Cute references to time honored and loved tales (such as Little Red Riding Hook & Peter Pan). Rhyming verse and colorful illustrations round out this charming picture book.
