He forced her to feel.Tristan was clearly drawn to Kyla, too. *3.5* “You’ve been treating me like a mushroom, Tristan.”

He didn’t reply, and she guessed by his expression that under his sunglasses he’d likely rolled his eyes.

“Keeping me in the dark, feeding me shit…” she added.

Ambrosia picks up right after book one, with Tristan and Kyla and their turbulent relationship.

Kyla must face the consequences of her difficult decisions from book one while navigating the dangerous world of vampires and the mysteries surrounding their existence.

Vampire/human dynamics
Smoking HOT intimate scenes
Action, intrigue, and suspense
Feeder/breeder language
Forced abortion
On-page sexual assault
Period blood

“Investigate witchcraft lore and you’ll see that menstrual blood is considered very magical. It is often used in witchcraft, used ceremonially throughout history, in offerings, also used in fertilizing plants, etcetera.”

I enjoyed it, but not as much as the previous story.

This is the most craziest, fucked up book I have ever read.
The gross stuff doesn't stop, infact there's even more of it and it's a fucking constant!

BUT weird enough I LIKED it AGAIN. *gasps*

These vamps are not the vamps you are used to read about, they walk in the sun without sparkling, they have super strength, speed (yeah, that's classic), they also have a darker side in them, the monster side *snickers* and it's triggered by a special kind of blood. They are all horny as hell and are ready to strike on non-stop relentless manic motion.

BUT the point here is there's so much going on that my mind is simply blown away...

this is such a mind fuck and windwhirl and turmoil and warp shit rollercoaster that I can't find enough words to describe it all.

the story?! You wanna hear the story?!
I can't tell you shit...

right now, I am not even sure i know what I have read

LOL cause I am lost in all the chase, hunt, crave, betrayal, danger, lack of trust, fucked-up twisted mess where you don't know who to trust cause every single one of the characters has a secret agenda and it's all about the AMBROSIA, the blood of a single woman, who finds out that she' s been lied to all of her life, the people that she thought were lost to her for forever, were actually not lost at all, and the reason for her being alive is to breed and be fed to a vampire, royal vampire.

Jesus, I shall never think about ovulation and blood in the same way again... *facepalm*

4.5 intense cliffy stars

Oh Lordt. The way this book ends! So glad I have book 3 to read.

This book continues from where book 1 left off. Kyla’s been running from Tristan after he almost un alived her when he was feeding from her nectar. She forgot one important detail- he can track her 😈.

Tristan finds her and it gets 🔥 very quickly. Because they’re basically destined to be together, they can’t help but gravitate towards each other. Tristan needs her to gets tests done to find out how potent her blood is and what they can do to help alleviate the intensity of what happened in book 1.

So they seek help and go to a place where there are MANY vampires. There’s testing that gets done there and hopefully they’ll get some answers related to what’s going on.

Tristan reveals information about Kyla’s past and what her nectar is… it’s… well… it’s her menstruation blood 😬😅. Not only that, but they find out what their lineages have in store for them and what it all really means…

And of course, we get intense 🔥 scenes. Tristan tries to stay away; this poor tortured vamp uses all he can to keep his distance, especially when she’s ovulating, but yeah… it just can’t be helped. And, it was 🥵. The scene where they’re telling each other no, let’s stop, but their bodies do the exact opposite was 💦🥵🔥😉. I felt the need for a 🚬 after 🥵. Jeeezus 🔥.

I wish it was longer and that some scenes were drawn out a little bit more. I definitely felt the shortness in this book, but I still devoured it. Also, I wish Tristan didn’t always leave Kyla 🤦🏻‍♀️. But with so many questions and not enough answers I get why.

I wouldn’t have minded if there have been more push/pull from Kyla’s end lol (like in book 1), but they’re very much in love, so I get why it wasn’t like this in this one. I can’t wait until I get to book 3!!!

Loved it.

Well I don't know. It's a toss between two and three stars for me. I couldn't decide so I gave it a three but I may actually go change it. (I ended up removing my rating because I need to give myself time to settle down from the story). That ending was crap and everything bad you could think of, happened in this second story. I thought it was going to get better but it just got worst for me. It got more and more silly as the story moved along. Bad decision after bad decision was made. No one got outraged by all the wrong that was often done to the MC's. It was like they turned a blind eye to almost everything. Tristan continually left Khila unprotected like a moron. Vampires kept biting and trying to rape the heroine. couldn't trust anybody. Tristan looked like a weak loser who couldn't make the right decisions to save his and her life. I actually think the second book ends horribly, and I'm pretty much done with the series.

Questions get answered and the book was entertaining, giving the readers false hope for everything. It's full of angst and bad things happening the whole time. Something precious gets taken from the heroine. The bad guy basically gets what he wants more than once. Just about everyone is horrible including Tristan's mom. I'm so sorry for thinking all would turn out great and that the bad wouldn't matter to me. It did and I'm sad because I LOVED the first book. I still think I may really like this author.

Once again Dee blows your mind!

I was lucky enough to be a beta reader and by god I'm glad. Tristan and Kyla have quite an adventure and things get very heated, we meet a heap of new people too. I don't want to spoil the read but it's definitely 7* worthy! With an ending that will drive you crazy.......waiting for Essence is going to be hell!!

Boring; plot drags, more routine sex scenes, and it started getting weird and nasty.

Spoilers

They visit the vampire scientist and she’s raped by another vampire on their way.

What in the ever funk, but we found out that Nectar, in “nectar trilogy” means period blood. A whole trilogy about how powerful and delicious women’s period blood was for vampires. Gag. Gross.🤮

The h was bred for the H, to be his blood slave to either give him babies or period blood, ewww..! There’s a reason why no one wrote an entire series about period blood, eating pussy during periods, because it’s nasty.🙄

And then the H might’ve unknowingly eaten abortion blood of his baby, because period blood makes him crazy hungry;

“She was thinking about the fact that Adrian had poisoned her, in essence, in order to kill her pregnancy, and then that caused bleeding that made Tristan turn into the monster, the monster who fed on that blood.

Tristan fed on blood that might’ve contained that fertilized egg. Against his will. Against both of their wills. And that hurt so fucking bad.”

This book is a continuation of the first and picks up right where it left off. It is fast paced and gets even better, It is a totally new perspective on Vampire love. There definitely aren't any sparkling vampires in this book. #tristanismine

Well this was my first book from DD Prince. Nectar the complete trilogy.

Well it was a nice story. But it played almost all the time in a vampire bubble. You get to know almost nothing about the outer world. Or interactions between vamps and humans.

The romance factor is there, but it lacks the special spark in the beginning. Maybe due to the choice of their meeting and the push and pull disaster happening afterwards.
Maybe it is the whole heart and brain war that didn't allow me as the reader to really fall for it.
In the second book it gets a bit better, but they already have that otherworldly love bond. The discovering of the mystery and secrets is fun but at times boring.

Anyway i read the whole trilogy. It was a nice read, but nothing special. A few weeks later and all i remember is: weird vampire/human romance, combined with lots of cruel medical experiments and some funny and weird characters to safe the day.

I liked it, but I am glad that the third book is not coming out until March 2016. I think I need to process the ending and I am nervous about the direction of the book. There is a lot that is relieved in this book and there was a lot of suspense. You always feel Tristan's love. He is not a wishy-washy hero. You still do not know who to trust, etc. There are a few surprises and then there were a few that I saw coming. This one ends in a cliffy, but I am not sure what direction the author is going to go.

Nonetheless, I am glad I picked this series up. I am glad that I did not give up on it in book 1. The writing is not epic, but story itself keeps me so interested that when I pick it up, I do not want to stop reading.

Ambrosia is the follow up to Nectar and oh my, I wasn't disappointed! Kyla and Tristan's rollercoaster romance continues in this fast paced read.

The bond between the couple is deepening and danger lurks around every corner. So many enemies will keep you and them constantly guessing as who they should trust, and their electric attraction never dwindles leading to hot as hell scenes between our favourite couple.

DD Prince is a genius, as her writing captures you in from the very beginning and you will be held captive until the last page. The Nectar Trilogy is fast becoming one of my favourite series. The first two books are already imprinted on my brain and I can't wait for book 3!

I received an ARC in return for an honest review. No spoilers here.

You MUST read Nectar first.

When you think there can't possibly be anywhere that another vamp romance can take you, D.D. Prince does it again. Shocking attitudes from those who should behave better, an undeniable thirst (sorry!) between Tristan and Kyla, and twists and turns you won't believe.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, you haven't.

Grab a cupcake, inhale the aroma, and prepare for some panty-dropping hotness...

Wow, what a ride!

I have always been fascinated by vampires and this series just enhances that obsession. It was fascinating to read how this one young lady could be at the center of the vampire race. She is still trying to figure out her place in everything but she does know that Tristan belongs in her life. I'm dying to know how everything will work out especially with how book two ended things. Until then.

Let me start by saying that this is the second story in a trilogy so you really need to start with book one (Nectar) before starting this one. This story ‘Ambrosia’ continues where the first story ended. You get mostly Kyla’s POV in the story but now and then you also get a few thoughts from Tristan too. This story was darker then the first one.

In this story we learn a lot more of the vampire world and what a dangerous and predatory world it is! A lot of things become much clearer, not only for us (the readers) but also for Tristan and Kyla themselves, because it becomes more and more obvious that they are being manipulated by the royal vampires around them and that not everything is what it seems and everyone around them is keeping secrets and it becomes difficult to know who is a friend and who is an enemy.

This may be a vampire story but it also has a lot of suspense in it. Unlike other vampire stories that I have read in the past, the world created here is very dangerous, very predatory where a vampire can only rely on himself. The vampires with royal bloodlines only want two things, they want more and more power and ensure that their bloodline become better and stronger and they will do anything to accomplish that!

From the first book I have tried to predict what will come next in the story but Kyla and Tristan’s story is unpredictable, I just had to let got and enjoy their journey without thoughts of what could happen next. Their story is really a rollercoaster of emotions! The things that happens to Kyra (and Tristan) are very emotional and sometimes hard to read.

The connection between Kyla and Tristian is very intense, raw, all-consuming. It grows deeper with each book. I love both character very much. It’s wonderful to see how Tristan is fighting in his own dangerous way to protect Kyla and their love. It isn’t always easy because sometimes his vampire instinct takes over and that can be lethal. But he really tries for Kyla to be a better man/vampire.
Kyla is a very strong woman, that just like Tristan, she is fighting for their love. But it is extra hard for her because she’s a human fighting in a vampire world.

I found it very hard to rate this story. Because I really love the couple Tristan and Kyla but I felt less connected with the vampire world. It’s really predatory, dangerous and it’s very sad what happens with a turned vampire female. So tragic. In other vampire stories that I have read, there was almost always a brotherhood, a group of vampires that supported each other. And I missed that a bit in this story but that’s totally my personal view!! The writer did create a great and dangerous world, it was just a bit different than I was used too but that wasn’t a bad thing, just a different perspective of the vampire world.

This story again ends with a cliffhanger (a big one!) but luckily the third and last story is already out.

Holy mother of plot twists 🤯

Like I'm not even sure what to say, I was on the first page, and then I went through a shit tonne of emotions and mind blows and then I was at the end and... Like what?!

I don't even think I came up for air (DD seems to have this effect on me 🙈)

So we jump straight back in where Nectar was left off with Kyla on the run from Tristan, but come on.. we all knew he was gonna go get his girl.. and he DID NOT disappoint!

“You had to know I’d find you. Thousands of miles away, hundreds of thousands of miles away, even. I would find you.”

Uh. Swoon.

Their journey continues with another bumpy as hell ride and I'm really sorry but I'm cutting this review short so I can go jump straight in to Book 3 because that cliffy... Damn DD 😈

Just keeps getting better!

What did I just read? Not enough words to describe how much I loved this book! Secrets, lies and mystery at every turn. The love Tristian and Kyla have for each other knows no bounds; they would burn down the world for each other. This book pulls you in and doesn't let you go until the last page. This series makes for an amazing binge read, and I can't wait to dive into the next book! Seriously, one click this trilogy now!
