Dooonks is to be categorised as SciFi-comedy.
For me the most interesting aspect of Dooonks is that (to me) it is very unconventional while it creates intimacy at the same time. The story dragged the reader into the worlds - notice the plural - of a wide variety of very likable characters. This is done at Warp-speed with a mimimum of measures in a very intelligent way. I read books that very four times as long that couldn't make me sympathise with any of the persons described! (but were a must to display on my bookshelf from an intellectual standpoint
The book is way too short for me. E.g. I would have loved to read more about technical aspects of alien equipment, even if it would describe total nonsense. Sci-Fi lovers ALWAYS love that.
The book contains the suggestion of explicit sex for some characters in a way which for me were unusual and exciting!
If you like Sci-Fi and a good laugh, are not prudish and want to step out of normal life quickly, read it and wonder when the next book of this author will appear.
