Earth is losing the war with the Anquesh. The world government needs TerraMates to find a bride for an alien warrior and finalize a peace treaty with the dangerous race.

Jennifer Carden never thought Kai would select her as his mate. He's tall, dark, devilishly handsome, and different from all the males she's ever known. Once Kai decides Jenn is his sindare, she's taken to an alien planet.

On Anquera, she discovers there will be competition to win her marriage rights. And things are different in space. What does it mean when the word for wedding ceremony translates to 'trial by combat'?

Jenn's going to find out.

This story takes place in the TerraMates universe, but can be read as a standalone novel.

Need a happy ending?

The story was well written, the plot had great variations to keep a reader hooked but I still only gave it three stars. My career saw the suffering of people in daily living, the poor, the suffering, the sick. While reading this book, I felt an underlying sadness at the hopelessness of the women and the cruelty of the soldiers. Even the happiness and love of the the hero and heroine couldn't overcome that. So,those who like a lighthearted love story, give this one a pass.

This is by far my favorite Terramates so far. I loved Kai and Jenn. They were great characters and I loved them both and how they handled each of their situations in Craving. Although Terramates had a much smaller role in Craving than in the other books, I LOVED how this one was written and how different it was.

Wow this is probably the best of all eight books of the TerraMates Series of course I said that for each book I read. When it comes to writing SciFi, Ms. Lisa hits it right out of the park. Book Eight Craving is written a little different from the previous seven books and the characters are exceptional with each of there roles. Adventue, Action, Betrayal, Jealousy, Annihilation, Battle just to name a few. And the Heroine Wins or does she?
Commander Kai Imwaden worked hard to get up in the ranks where he was, no one ever gave him a break in fact they made it even harder for him, because his mother the Princess was sindare to the Emperor, but he never received any kind break from anyone. His people the Anquesh were ruleed on his planet by the Emperor who saw to his people and his planet taking care of everything for they were at war with earth. Yes the Emperor loved his people but not as much as his sindare, Kai's mother she was his everything,  the breath in his body, she was his strength without her he'd perish. But the Earth Commander suggested a treaty that would destroy everything that Kai wanted in his life. Could Kai follow through for his people, for his stepfather?
Jennifer Carden aka Jenn who is human was handed a raw deal, everything she had was swindled by her boyfriend/Las Vegas husband It was clearly devastating for her going from scraping by to nothing at all. The only thing she could due is apply at the TerraMates. She knew she'd never be picked but the applicant who lost were paid too, she needed that money, it was a Win/Win situation. I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.

Received this book for an honest review.
This is book 8 in the series TerraMates you do not have to read the books in order because
they all have their own endings.
This one is a bit different from her usual books in this series .
Jenn had just find out that the person she thought was her husband was already married and he had drained her bank account.
She decided to join TerraMates because she had no money left and that was the only way she
could put a roof over her and eat. When Kai came to get a wife to join the two worlds together
because the war was wrecking both earth and his planet Jenn was hiding because she had no
attention of becoming anyone's wife again but when Kai found her he told them he wanted Jenn
she told them she did not want him but she was told if she did not go with him she would
be put to death for treason. Will everything work out for them.
This is one of the best stories in this series although all the books are really good.
Be prepared to get hooked once you finished this book you are going to want to read
more from this Author.

Gifted a copy in exchange for honest review:

What I like about this series is the fact that despite the fact each book has its own individual story plot they don't have to be read in order to enjoy them. They each are standalone books that happen to have the same end of marriage to an alien. The plots differ but they are enjoyable. This book is no different.

I enjoyed seeing how the writer showed what a person is willing to do to help save their country (planet).

Note: While this book is intended for readers over 18, this book is more focused on the suspense and development of connection than of the actual sexual act.

God these books kerp going from bad to worse

I give this one star only because I have read through all previous books basically cause I have nothing else to read and I'm baffled how badly they seem to be getting the last book the two main characters pretty much hated each other up until the last couple chapters then they're were magically in love this one was pretty much the same Jen was swindled by her ex husband and she some how was able to sign up for TerraMates not even weeks after he supposed divorce cause the author never even mentioned her getting the divorce unless I missed it but the supposed uptight program allowed her to join so soon after a recent break up just blew my mind how the author doesn't catch on to her own slip ups I mean can you at least make it somewhat believable I know it's fiction but come on....so anyways Jenn gets picked by Kai to be his mate and they have a small intimate scene in a cab and she freaks because she believes that he now thinks she's a slut and I'm thinking this chick is suppose to be smart right??? The author made her stupid and very irritating the whole book was back to back one cluster F*ck after another all they did was fight one battle after another there was no romance in this book what so ever! It ends with Kai having been elected Prime Minister and Jenn is the Earth ambassador and they end the book with her and Kai meeting in the arena to have their ceremonial battle that's it.....This author has potential to write good stories but she needs better help I guess I don't know the process of writing a book but surely she has friends that could read it for her and say girl I love an action packed book as much as the next girl but their has to be an equal balance of romance if you're going to label this a Sci-Fi Romance....Thats my opinion I leave it up to you to decide if it's worth your time

I enjoyed this story. Kai is a commander of an Anguesh battleship and the stepson of the Anguesh Emperor as such, he has duties that he is expected to perform. One of those duties is fulfilling the agreement of marrying an earth woman as part of the Anguesh-Earth Peace Treaty. Jen is just a normal Earth woman trying to live her life amid a planetary war between Earth and the Anguesh. After her marriage is found to be invalid, because her husband is a con man, he already has a wife, and he runs off with all her money, she has no choice but to sign up with TerraMates as a potential mate for the Anguesh Ambassador. Their story is one filled with excitement, battle, donger, suspense, heartbreak, and of course a bit of naughtiness. I really enjoyed how Jen evolved throughout the story, going from a meak and nieve woman to a woman willing to stand up for herself and others. Kai went from a male focused purely on duty to a male focusing on his woman and her needs as well. They both found love. I also really enjoyed what happened to the Emperor's son, Woral. (Don't know if I spelled that right.)

The narrator did a really great job with her performance. Well done to both the narrator and the author. I'm looking forward to what comes next.

This is another wonderful addition to the TerraMates series. I love that the books can be read in any order, since that's how I've been reading them, and while you might see characters from the other stories each individual book is a stand-alone. This one is about Kai, an alpha male who is a favorite to the king on his planet. Jenn is a spunky female who signs up for the mail-order bride program and then has second thoughts. They are forced together by a peace treaty between Anquera and Earth. Can they find common ground, and hopefully love, or is this going to end in disaster?

The story telling is great, there are some very steamy scenes and hot chemistry, there is also a lot of action and adventure, and it is told from both character's POV so you get to know the thoughts of both of them. I loved it, and I recommend this book, and the entire series, to anyone who loves sci-fi romance.

Military, Aliens, Romance

Combine Military combat with SciFi backgrounds and add in some fumbling romance plus sexy encounters, and you get Jennifer and Kai's story. A little barbaric, Kai's race creates treaties through royal nuptials as a prize in an honorable marriage battle between races.
Their meetcute is quite funny and turns into a sexy moment, which causes Kai's plan to derail. From that point forward, the story is full of attacks, counter attacks, false alliances, double crossings, a few disheartening moments, and lots of on the edge of your seat chapter endings. Ne prepared for that "just one more chapter..." moment to come quite often.
Cassandra Myles is an excellent narrator for this book. She does a fantastic job of living the action and bringing out the emotion in the right moment.

I wasn't sure what to expect but I enjoyed every second of reading this. I savored the words and loved how well they were written. This story starts out with a bad relationship, I was so mad and full of pity for our heroine as she married the horrible excuse of humanity that was her boyfriend. I knew it wouldn't end well and it most certainly did not.

When she enters the Terramates program she just expects a few weeks with a roof and food but with time she's chosen by the large and scary alien enemy as his bride. Assassins, battles, and palace intrigue injure him consistently, bringing him to death closer each time but with his quick healing and his will to live for his sindare he survives. And she gets over her fear, although I admit, he did not make it easy.

Uh, again a lot of fun with a Neanderthal and a damsel in distress :)
But this one somehow suited me, what thrilled me the most was how one ordinary Earth woman kicked ass of a strong great warrior he he he he he! Admittedly with the help of gravity, but still, great!
I always find it interesting when a scent is used to reveal the soul mate! I wish that is really true!
Honestly, sometimes, when problems squeeze me from all sides, it's so sweet for me to turn off logic and enjoy the romantic endeavors of heroes like this!

This is another great alien mail order bride book by Lisa Lace, it is full of excitement, drama, danger, love, steamy scenes and a lot of misunderstandings

This is quite possibly my favourite book yet in this great series, well written I highly recommend

As a side note I bought the audio version, the narrator has a nice tone of voice and reads the story really well and the quality of sound is great with excellent clarity

I really like a good book with a strong female character. And in this book the female lead, Jennifer doesn't even know how strong she is. She has an inner strength that comes out when she most needs it. I've liked all of the TerraMates books that I've read and this one is no exception. I'd like to see her best friend Nayla get a story of her own. She's a character that I liked too and would like to know more about her. Fingers crossed...

I read this through KU. The story was creative, had nice pacing with lots of action, and was a slow-burner romance with a dash of insta-love of sorts. I took off 1 star because there was something of a disconnect between the end of ch.29 and the start of ch.30. I found myself flipping back and forth trying to re-read in case I missed something. But, nope, it just skips a chunk of time with no warning. That aside, it was good. 4 stars.

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!

Great Read!
This book was a little different.
On their wedding day, the Groom + the Bride fight each other.
Depending on who wins, there is or not a wedding.
If the Groom wins, they get married.
If the Bride wins, she has the right to choose to get married or to remain single.
It is a little scary. What happens if you don't know who to fight. do you forfeit ?
Jennifer found her mate Kai.
However the Kai's brother wanted Jennifer for himself.
That is how Jennifer ended up in the arena fighting for her freedom.
Good thing she knows Tai Chi!
Great HEA

Kai is from an alien warrior race that respects strength and battle experience. To keep his planet from fighting a war that is slowly decimating them, he agrees to marry a woman from earth as part of a peace treaty. Assured by his step father that he will never have to actually marry the woman, he is shocked when he finds a woman that he can't live without.

Jenn is a human from Earth who signs up with TerraMates to keep a roof over her head after her "husband" runs off with everything she has. She never expects the visiting alien to pick her from all the eligible women, and she never thought she could be so attracted to the warrior alien.

What an adventure! This was such an exciting story, between space battles, starships, alien races and a burning romance! Kai and Jenn were a great match, they brought out the absolute best in each other. Jenn is a compassionate and strong character that evolves in the story from naive to a fierce commanding woman. Kai is a battle tested warrior that evolves into a strong commander and leader for his people. This story is action packed and passion charged from the beginning till the end. This is part of a larger series but can easily be read as a standalone. There is a bonus book after this story as well. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves action, adventure, spaceship battles, warring aliens, spunky Earth women, or a great story.

Marry an Alien to save Earth – Great Terra Mates story!! 4.5 stars

We begin on the planet Anquera at a wedding – on a battlefield. If the male defeats the female in combat, she is his, and the rest of the marriage ceremony begins immediately. If the woman prevails, or the man flees the arena, the marriage is considered void, and any treaties based on the union are invalid.

Kai is stepson of the Emperor and a highly-ranked military officer – he is chosen to select a human to marry to solidify a treaty with Earth. Anquera and Earth must work together to defeat the threat from Similicue.

Jenn works with soldiers injured in the war. When her boyfriend Anton lies, cheats, steals everything in her trust fund, and she loses her job – in order to have a roof over her head she applies to Terra Mates Anquera program as they house and feed the candidates.

Ironically Jenn is hiding out, when Kai in an effort to also hide out runs into her and realizes she is his sindare; and chooses her.

Jenn is not convinced easily – and her defiance is all the more attractive to Kai. Meanwhile there in an interplanetary war, machinations, political intrigue, and a super-hot romance – an exciting tale with danger, humor and romance.

I received this audiobook for an honest review. This book was EXCELLENT. Did I say EXCELLENT? Lisa has done it again. She is such a wizard at telling stories. I can't believe she can come up with such unique stories. I would love to spend a couple of hours in her head looking at all the ideas she has. Already at Book 8 and none of them are the same. Each one is so very different. The narrator does an excellent job of distinguishing between each of the characters. You can see a bit of yourself in each of the main characters Lisa gives you. She has a talent for description. Description of the people, the places, and the characters, personality, thoughts, anger, suspicion of each character (I could go on forever). This book is very suspenseful and pretty scary. I definitely couldn't stop listening to this one. Thanks Lisa, as always you certainly entertain.

This takes place on a planet were having a wedding battle is normal. If the women wins there is no wedding if the male wins they have the wedding. Lol
Earth is at war with them "the Anquesh" Kai it from this world and he is chosen to make an alliance with earth. He has chosen Jennifer Carden from earth to marry and she is his Sindare "true love".
There are a few problems: one, his people don't plan to go though with the deal. Two, earth has other plans too. Three, there is another race out to get them all.
Then the king of Anquesh hears his step son finds his sindare he plans to honor the agreement to earth. But then the other race attacks everything changes
I really loved this story lots of mystery, drama and intrigue. The characters are great.
If your a syfy fan this should be alot of fun for you.

This book is about a women named Jenn who signs up with Terramates mailorder bride service. However she signed up to get the 2000 credits if you are not chosen as there was a peace treaty that a earth women would marry a Alien named Kai from the planet Anquera. As she was under assumption the alien Kai would not choose her however he does. There are no plot holes in the storyline. The storyline keeps your attention throughout the book. This story has a lot of adventure with unique characters. This book has suspence, humor, and romance. I was given a free copy in exchange for a honest review.

This was a marvelous story of a man filled with strength, honor and a few flaws who finds his "sindare" from a race he least expects too. Jenn is strong willed with abundant sass and sarcasm and their contentious relationship kept me up late into the night! Ms. Lace writes these characters with humor and personalities that clash in such interesting ways you laugh out loud and root for their love against the odds!! The "TerraMates" stories are unique and fun and can't wait for more!

What a wonderful story! What happens when an alien must find a mate on Earth, however she doesn't want anything to do with him? With war looming can he convince her to stay? I love the TerraMates series. You have strong sexy aliens and when they find their mates she is strong and independent. Curl up with this book and spend the afternoon out of this world.
