I read the entire series! And what I love most about this series is how it encourages critical thinking and teamwork. The children aren’t superheroes, but they are smart, resourceful, and kind, and their friendship is at the core of the story. The books also explore important themes like loyalty, bravery, and the value of thinking for yourself. They’re not just exciting mysteries but also rich with life lessons.
The paperback box set is a perfect way to dive into this imaginative world. The books are easy to read, fun, and packed with adventure, making them great for kids and adults alike. Whether you’re looking for a fun read for a younger reader or a whimsical escape for yourself, this series is sure to keep you turning pages.
So good! Probably more in the age range of 8-12 year olds, but I think my mom started reading them to me at 14 or 15 and I really enjoyed them! Can't really remember any bad stuff. Some things in the prequel(The Extraordinary Education of Nicholas Benedict) didn't make sense and I didn't like book 4 very much(because pretty much nothing happened the whole time). But would definitely recommend to just about any age. It's about 4 children who passed a series of tests(in very different ways😂) and are sent on a dangerous mission. Gets pretty stressful.
This series follows several children who all have special skills and overcoming their differences in taking down evil. These books taught me a lot when I was younger, and was a brilliant book for my young mind.
Really a book that has stayed with me throughout my childhood.
A really fun reread. I loved these books as a child, and am now reading the series again in Ecuador (there's now a fourth?? That's new!). A great mix of puzzles and following likable characters and interesting plot. Stewart is a great children's book writer.
The first book was spectacular. The others were okay, but were missing something that made me like the first book. It's still a great series and I definitely recommend for younger audiences.
This was an amazing series! Completely clean, (hooray!!), and it has some parts that will make you laugh-out-loud! It's witty, funny, and has some great morals, too!
