Officer Clawsome and his partner, Stariana, are back, solving a time-bending mystery of epic proportions in this sequel to Lobster Cop.
A puzzling mystery is afoot! Thankfully, Caper Cove’s finest are on the case, but the investigation takes a turn for the strange when the town’s resident evil genius, Brain Sturgeon, dives into a portal to the past. Fighting crime, dodging dinosaurs, and wrangling wild West outlaws, these two best friends have gotten tangled up in a mystery fit for the ages.
Will this dynamic duo be able to restore the past, present, and future—or will time as we know it be lost forever?
Fans of Dog Man and SpongeBob will delight in the continued hijinks of Clawsome and Stariana in their latest adventure.
This fun sequel takes place about 17 minutes after the first one. This time Officer Clawson and Stariana the starfish need to find Brain Sturgeon somewhere in time! However since it is time travel he could literally be anywhere. It was fun seeing the different time periods that they went to. I really enjoyed it, these are laugh out loud books!
In the first book, the plot was layered. This one, not so much. And the characters go through so much of the same plot that most of the pages look basically the same.
Clawsome and Stariana chase Brain Sturgeon through time.
This is a fun sequel that in the same vein as Casino Royale and Quantum of Solice, it takes place directly after the first volume. (17 minutes to be precise) I felt this was a fun sequel that truly read pretty quick for a 200 plus page book. When it ended, I found myself worried that this is all we are scheduled to see of Officer Clawsome by Brian "Smitty" Smith and Chris Giarrusso...as it does not end with a cliffhanger. The story is by the title "Crime Across Time" a time travel adventure. I think it worked well but I know it can sometimes be confusing once people start messing with time. I am sure my daughters will both enjoy it, and I felt this was a great follow-up to the first volume. Hoping there is more to come!
