Richard Lange, local Santa Cruz author, wrote this short novel, Fox Run,, in 2001. It is a coming-of-age narrative, from the point of view of a Southern California teenage boy. I came across it through a bookseller friend of mine’s recommendation and found a copy in our library.

Of the book, Aimee Bender writes, “Fox Run’s territory is the ache of a fourteen-year old boy’s world, and Lange cleanly and lucidly tells a story of the constant battles between new hope and old despair.”
