Would you ever want to drive a Volkswagen from 1970???? Surely not. It didn't have air conditioning and the whole safety features, it was loud, without security belts but nonetheless it was a Bestseller!!!
Maybe by todays standards of erotica this book seems boring, but it was THE BOOK, that hooked up so many readers......(less)

This book stands on it's on. I've read some shocking reviews in which they trash the book saying the heroine is whiny but what must be remembered is that this book was written in 1989. A day and age in which many women were not as adventurous a we are in today's world. Honestly, if any of us were thrown back in time to the 1600s I imagine that we might be rather whiny indeed. It's a love story and one of my all time favorites. I hope you take the opportunity to read it. Everyone I know loved it.(less)
