does anyone know in which book can i find the story of the Joseph Fawcitt, Marquess of Attingsborough? He is cousin to Neville, Gwen and Lauren (of 'One Night for Love' and 'A Summer to Remember'. He also appears in the Slightly Dangerous of the Bedwyn/Slightly series. I see in one of the Survivor books the mention of a Marchioness. Wondering if Mary Balogh has written a story for him.

I just picked this up not realizing it was part of a series. Is it readable as a stand-alone or should I spring for the preceding novels first?

That said, after I read this book…moreI think this is the first Balogh book I read. That was a good decision on my part, but I didn't make it consciously. That said, after I read this book, I went back and read the previous entries in the Bedwyn Saga, which made me love this book (and the Bedwyns) all the more. One of my favorite things about Balogh is that you can pick up pretty much anywhere in whichever of her series you choose and, while you'll miss a lot of references to previous books, you won't feel totally lost. The central romance will sweep you away every single time. That also means you'll get extra enjoyment out of rereading the books in their intended order!(less)

This is one of my favorite Mary Balogh books and I am wondering if there is a good audio-version of this book available? If so, who is the narrator?

Marie Rogus Rosalyn Landor is the narration and I'm in awe of her performance. She has voices for at least sixteen people. beyond loved the book, comparisons entirely unsettling Many readers have compared this story to a classic regency novel Pride and Prejudice, am pondering just what that says about these readers the impossible gulf between such a comparison insults the true genius of Austen and her works. when comparison is cited; that a reader could think that? Instead, Balogh seems to take the concept of the characters and work them into a similar scenario, and of the series, this was my absolute favorite.(less)
