Maybe it's just me, but I think Karin cares about Will just as much as we do.

I'm tired of Angie too, but as far as "evil ex's" go, she's one of my favorites. I'd hate to see this series end, but I have fallen head over heels in love with her standalone novels. I don't know how it would be possible, but I wish there was a way to keep Andrea from Pieces of Her going. I'm totally renewing my Netflix account as soon as the Pieces of Her show comes out.

Sorry...this is long and all over the place. I might be a little too excited for The Last Widow to come out ha. Plus I could talk about KS books all day :)(less)

They’re all amazingly entertaining.(less)

I don't remember the reason for the hostage, but Jeffrey Tolliver got shot, a few policemen were killed and some children were held hostage as well.
In the book that narrates this hostage siituation, there is back and forth between the days when Jeffrey took her to the place where he grew up and an old secret got out. I loved that book.(less)
Angela Schultz I think you could read this as a standalone and enjoy it. I would recommend reading then entire series though, just because it is so good!

There are tons of parents who don't like the person their offspring are involved with, right or wrong. Jeffrey, Sarah's first husband, was socially adept and used to being liked, despite his own past. Will is socially inept, awkward and expects rejection. Internal dialogue colors how we present ourselves and therefore affect how we are perceived.
Parents often blame a partner when a child is harmed, believing if the child had not been with that person the harm wouldn't have occurred. Heck, parents turn on each other in times of crisis.
I think the storyline was very powerful-Will choosing to reach out , Cathy choosing to invite Will into the family prayer-both of them choosing hope and openness instead of fear.(less)
