I really think Anne deserved a bit of happiness in the end and I wished Marco could've suffered some fate. (less)
I have trouble reading books that are unrealistic. What parent would ever leave a 6 month old in a house by themselves just to go to a party next door? If the story line doesn't make sense, it isn't a good read to me. Does anyone else feel this way? Or does the book give an explanation why the parents would do this?

By taking the monitor with them, there wasn't much of a difference between going next door or going outside/to the garage. I wouldn't have chosen to drink in that case, but simply going next door doesn't seem far fetched.(less)
Does anyone else think it's really odd that Detective Rasbach doesn't even bother to check out neighbors Cynthia and Graham, who were hosting the dinner party? Or how unlikely it is that Cynthia and Graham didn't notice any of this commotion with the press and police happening right next door when they share a wall with Anne and Marco? How unrealistic is that??

You would think they would have immediately after questioning the parents. When Rasbach eventually did go over (might have been 1-2 days later) he only questioned Cynthia as Graham was not home. He never questioned him. That would not happen in real life! Also the cops would have dug into the couples background a little more. Everyone close would be under suspicion.(less)

I just finished it and I have to say, OMG. It is one of the first books that scare me when I read it, the plot twist and the mystery charmed me; I never guessed anything about this book, everything surprised me. The only thing I would criticize would be that the detectives sometimes did not convince me, I did not understand how they drew conclusions, but other than that this book was great. #teammystery? 4/5 stars
