Having waited since 2003 for this--not that we knew it was even a real possibility back then, but I *needed* more about Lirael and Nick--you'd think I'd be able to handle 7 more months. But no, here I am with zero chill. (less)

Clariel, whilst being a prequel, still doesn't offer a view and explanation of events like Sabriel, not to mention it can be considered kind of separate from the main storyline. Perhaps read the main trilogy first; the prequel will have more to offer as a result.(less)

Ms. Wilds has a rather prolific CV when it comes to audiobooks - of note she has also read for the entirety of (so far) the Lady Darby mystery series by Anna Lee Huber, and Prisoner of Night and Fog by Anne Blankman.(less)

This book is kind of its own separate entity, as it is set in the Old Kingdom about 600 years before Sabriel. They are all good books. Definitely check them out. (less)

Clariel is a prequel but I'd recommend reading it after the first three books at least - that way you will get more out of Clariel's story.

Across The Wall is a collection of short stories, some of which include characters from the trilogy. Again, I'd recommend reading this one after the trilogy for same reason as above. You won't miss out on the main storyline if you don't read either Clariel or Across the Wall.

Hope this helps!(less)
