What We're Reading at Goodreads
It's Book Perk time again! Every two months, each member of the Goodreads team gets to choose a book to order. We stacked up a portion of our latest stash in the Secret Garden-themed conference room—note the spectacularly painted wall in bloom—before letting everyone claim their next to-read.

Karen M wrote: "The Martian by Andy Weir"Can you let me know how you like this book when you are done with it? I would appreciate it!! None of my friends have read it yet. Thanks!!
I just ordered "The Anthropology of Turquoise: Reflections on Desert, Sea, Stone, and Sky" and then I would like to read The Nightingale.
So I am finally forcing myself to get rid of my huge to be read pile on goodreads and so I"m slowly doing that. I can't believe I've read so many book so far this year. sometimes i finish two a week but I'm on my fifteenth and my goal is only 25. I have to balance because I have to read for my book club and then ones that I want to on my own. 10/14 are ones that i've wanted to read on my own. Right now I'm reading Sex with Kings: 500 Years of Adultery, Power, Rivalry, and Revengeby
Eleanor Herman
Currently reading Resurrection by Tolstoy. He may be my favourite Victorian writer. He's so modern and he's incredibly sharp about human emotions and delusions.I have The Sculptor waiting for me to pick up on my trip to London this week together with The Gigantic Beard That was Evil and Big Hard Sex Criminals so that should keep me in graphic novels until the weekend.
I'm also really looking forward to Claudia Rankine's Citizen which was nominated for a National Book Critics Circle as both non-fiction and poetry (it won for poetry). Sounds awesome.
Then I have the next two volumes of Elena Ferrante's Neapolitan novels and I thought I'd give Tana French a go.
OOhhhhh, I see a Mario Puzo out there I am currently reading A Game of Thrones
I am loving each and every part of the book. Next I plan to read a book by an Indian Author -> R.k Narayan ,probably The English Teacher
Ouch. This is embarrassing :-/ I havent read any of them, but I do have 7 on my want to read/wishlist. They've been on my wishlist forever it feels like and I'm sure once I go through and read each synopsis that the 7 is going to go up. Definitely want to read:
by Jojo Moyes
by Kristin Hannah
by Ania Ahlborn <------ dying to read this one
by Jon RonsonAnd a milion more, but those are the ones that have stayed in my wishes the strongest. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your Secret Garden room!! One of my favorites ever. (Saw the movie, haven't read the book yet, but own it so soon I hope)
I noticed that there aren't any "vote" for this book options, but there's one person who was able to vote. Strange so I came back here to comment instead of on the listopia page.
Cool! Thanks for another awesome blog post! Always fun! :)
Tiffani wrote: "I'm trying to finish To All the Boys I've Loved Before before the second book comes out."Hi Tiffani, I always get SO excited when I see others who are reading this and a few others, but I just adored this book. Made me feel like a teen again. I hope you're enjoying it!!? :) I just pre-ordered book two and can't wait until it arrives. ~*Enjoy*~ :)
I want to start reading The Nightingale, but because I have my exams going on (which would end only by the middle of this month), this book, along with many others not on this list but on mine, will have to wait until then.
Jessica wrote: "Currently reading Cinder. It's gets interesting after 100 pages (well easier to get lost in) but I figured out the "twist" super quick and it was throw the book down annoying. Still..."I love this series, I'd definitely recommend it. Yeah, the twist is obvious but everything else is just amazing
Currently Reading: Slaughterhouse-Five, A Clash of Kings, Dracula, The Time Traveler's Wife and (re-reading) To Kill a Mockingbird. Also, I'm in no hurry to finish, Marvel Secret Wars, The Amazing Spider-Man and Civil War.

Of that list I have The Godfather and Longbourn in my TBR.
I love the fact that Understanding The World seems to be the biggest book, and is right at the bottom.
i am reading J. by Howard Jacobson amongst tooooo many others.
I'm currently reading Fifty Shades of Grey. Everybody I know has read it, and I thought 'How bad could it possibly be?', well, I'm already surprised (negatively).Next up I'll be reading World After by Susan EE. Loved Angelfall, so reading the second one is a must!
The Lit Lover wrote: "I want to read A Darker Shade of Magic so badly!"My book club is currently reading A Darker Shade of Magic this month. Haven't started it myself yet but definitely looking forward to it. Currently reading Paper Towns.
I like the mix of titles, but one that needs some attention is Murder Takes Time by Giacomo Giamatteo. This one stays with you.
