vote for your favorite reviews!

Often we find ourselves reading reviews of books on Goodreads that are really really insightful or contain witty remarks. It pained us that there was no way to make sure that these eloquent nuggets were shown before other reviews, since until now reviews were ordered by how many characters were in the review.

We're excited to announce that you can now vote for reviews you like, and that the results of this voting will help popular reviews be shown first! To vote for a review, just click on the 'vote' link below the review. Unlike some sites, Goodreads does not allow negative votes, as we think a positive approach fits in much better with our community.

The most popular review so far is Mer's destruction of The Da Vinci Code. A close second is LH's very entertaining review of Neil Gaiman's Stardust. Also popular is Suzie's very professional sounding review of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Voting isn't just for reviews - we've also added it to stories and videos. The most popular story is Cash on the Barrel by author Kristin Abraham. The two most popular videos are William Shatner and The Pregnant Wife Eats Dirt by author Kathryn Kysar.
