new amazon bookmarklet

Posted by Otis Chandler on July 24, 2007
At the request of an interested member, we've built an Amazon bookmarklet. This means if you're surfing Amazon and see a book you like you just have to click one button to add the book to your Goodreads shelf.

Check it out!

Mary You really need to fix this widget for the Amazon/GoodReads link. It doesn't work at all. I've tried it on chrome and firefox and nothing! It's maddening!!!!!!!!!!

bunting Heya all,

I've gone ahead and tweaked the bookmarklet so that it works with Amazon's new URL structure, you can see the code here:

If you download the gist, and then look at the file (expand the compressed file), you can drag the link you see into the browser. Alternatively, if you're feeling adventurous, copy and paste the contents of the href tag, and change that in your current goodreads bookmarklet's URL field.

Randy Harmelink This bookmarklet appears to be broken again?

The problem appears to be that using the ASIN like this: redirects to the starting search page.
