148 Recent Celebrity Book Club Picks

Celebrity book clubs are an encouraging modern phenomenon. They suggest that, even in our fast-and-busy world of digital information and multimedia everything, people still value the old-fashioned experience of reading a good book.
These high-profile book clubs are also a good way to monitor the cultural zeitgeist over time. By flipping back through celebrity club picks, you can see which books have risen to the level of mainstream popular culture in the national (and international) conversation.
We’ve collected below the most recent recommendations from several popular celebrity book clubs, including old veterans like Reese, Oprah, and Jenna, plus intriguing newcomers like singer, songwriter, and bookworm Dua Lipa. The books are presented in reverse chronological order—that is to say, the most recent picks are at the top.
The range on display is really quite impressive. You’ll find books from established authors like Louise Erdrich, Colson Whitehead, and Elizabeth Strout along with buzzy new writers like Thao Thai, Kaliane Bradley, and Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah. Plus, there are fascinating memoirs, Literature 101 favorites, and even a Pulitzer Prize winner or two.

Natalie Portman ? Sarah Jessica Parker ? And several others. I mean, you could have used more celebrities/different point of views and less books for each. It would have offer a greater variety of tastes.
Oh, they made another celebrity book club list. This time, I've read a lot more books than the last time I saw a list such as this one. I've read 10 but plan to read many more. Maame was the best book on this list but others were disappointing. Anita de Monte Laughs Last had some issues. Can you recommend me a book to read from this list?
So many of these still in my tbr! I love following book clubs because they make me branch out of my usual genres. I've been pleasantly surprised by a few on this list that I wouldn't have picked up otherwise.

Demon Copperhead was amazing. You can’t go wrong with Barbara Kingslover. I also loved Chain Gang All Stars. We did Wedding People in our book club. That one is fun and provides good discussion.
