Add a Quiz to Your Website or Blog

Posted by Patrick Brown on December 21, 2010
We've known for a long time that quizzes are a popular part of Goodreads. About a thousand people take a quiz on Goodreads each day. With that in mind, we are excited to announce the quiz widget. Now you can easily post a quiz on your website or blog.

To add the quiz widget to your site or blog, click on the quiz you want to add, then click "embed/widget" in the right-hand column of the quiz results page.

This will bring up a page of html code. Copy the code and paste it into your website or blog, and you're all set!

Adding a quiz to a blog post about a book is a great way to test your readers' knowledge of the book. It's also a great way to get them to stick around your site a bit longer. Teachers can use the quiz widget to make their reading tests more fun (Not that I'm saying your average English quiz isn't a blast! I'm sure it is). How will you use the quiz widget?

Karyn Will there also be a widget to add the '2011 Reading Challenge' to blogs and websites?
