Young Adult Novels That Readers Are Dying to See Adapted for the Screen

When a young adult novel makes a big impact with readers, it's only a matter of time before it gets a screen adaptation. And with the advent of streaming services, of which there are roughly 18 million now, young adult fiction is able to reach all-new audiences who may never have gotten the chance to consume these stories otherwise.
On Facebook and Twitter, we asked readers which recent young adult works (anything from about 2015 onward) they most wanted to see developed as movies or TV shows. Some of these picks have already been optioned by studios (like Children of Blood and Bone, One of Us Is Lying, and The Gilded Ones), and for a lot of readers, production can't get started soon enough.
We got a wonderful variety of answers from across a wide selection of genres, and in particular, readers were extremely keen on LGBTQ+ coming-of-age stories, charming rom-coms, and bloody revenge narratives. Here are the top books that readers are hungriest to see on the screen.

Dawn Unearthed. By Carrie Ann Ryan
The Near Witch because I want to hear the wind’s stories
The Kiss Of Deception
Crown of Secrets entire series after the Spoken Mage series
Aru Shah series
Someone I Used To Know and Some Boys
Aunare Chronicles everything
Aileen Erin everything
Tessonja Odette everything
Melanie Cellier everything
Everything means all their books but it’s a fantasy I don’t think will happen. But this is my list.
These are good for reads too

Also One Of Us Is Lying

I think Lev A.C. Rosen's Camp could work really well as a TV mini series.

I can't wait for them to be movies!
SO IF ANYONE FROM NETFLIX IS READING THIS, PLEASE MAKE THESE BOOKS INTO MOVIES!
or ya know any other steaming service...
Just please someone make the movies.
Also Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller! And it's sequel

One of Us Is Lying is being adapted but by a paid streaming service that isn't available in every country.
If they ruin children of blood and bone... I will cry... no wait, I am crying because no movie has ever done a book justice....

But it’s only available in the USA 😔

Those weren't the first books to pop into my head, but it makes perfect sense! I love those books, and they would make amazing movies. Such gorgeous scenery too!
