Nearly 30 of the 36 named here are by female authors. Do men not write books anymore or is there a built-in bias to female authors/readers? Serious question. I like female authors but......

I like female authors but......"It is a list based on "early buzz," basically they are books that people have shelved. It just so happens that female authors have been shelved more often in this case.

OMG! I want to read all of these. I love mystery books. They keep me up all night wondering who killed whom. So excited for these books to come out. Libraries rock.
The one I’m most looking forward to is “The Pact”, by Sharon Bolton (who is, for me, the bees knees when it comes to thrillers, alongside with Tana French), which comes out in May, but I’ll admit that “The Lost Apothecary” and “Who is Maud Dixon?” also sound great!
The third book from Andrea Bartz, a thriller called “We Were Never Here” will be published on July 13th 2021 by Ballantine Books. Can’t wait!!

These are surely promising, but I'm looking forward to read some already released mysteries set in Regency era: Sebastian St. Cyr, Lady Sherlock and Veronica Speedwell series. (I just need to decide which one I want to read first.. Σ(-᷅_-᷄๑) )
