There's something great about a paperback book: They're perfect book club choices, you can throw them in your bag and go, and they've been out in stores and libraries long enough that you can peek at your fellow readers' reviews of the selection.

We rounded some of the most recent books published in paperback for you, a selection that includes some of today's biggest authors (like Stephen King, Margaret Atwood, and Colson Whitehead) and the most buzzed about recent books (from the award-winning memoir The Yellow House to the creepy debut thriller The Whisper Man).

Debbyanne Southwell I think the family upstairs, the secret we keep and heaven is my home and the yellow house and to catch and kill! They sound great!

message 3: by Sue (new)

Sue Frances Lots of lovely books! I can recommend Alice Hoffman, Lisa Jewell and the Beekeeper of Aleppo is amazing. Not to mention Stephen Kings 'The Institute'. Brilliant.

message 4: by Lady Galaxy (new)

Lady Galaxy I miss the days of being able to tuck a paperback in my purse, tote, or backpack. Unfortunately, for me, the print in a paperback is too small to read. (Reading glasses don't work for my particular eye problem.) Still, this is an interesting collection. Thank technology for electronic books that allow us to choose font and text size. I'll definitely be checking for Kindle versions of some of these.

message 5: by Sue (new)

Sue My recommendation would be "The Only Plane in the Sky." Of all the books I've read about the 9/11 attacks, this one was the most meticulous and informative.
