At least The Silent Patient and The Lost Man.

Some are already on my "to read" list or have already been read. Do yourself a favor and read Daisy Jones and the Six!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Audiobook was awesome! I finished three days ago and can't get the characters out of my head--I miss them! Did they make the movie yet??
Added The Night Olivia Fell as a result of this list. Looks like it might be a winner.

Aahhh, TBR! (To be read). Thanks, have never come across this version before :)

condescending, absolutely. as it should be. but pointless, no, not so much. too many horrible books getting too much hype and inflated ratings; to go with too many dumb-as-rocks and hyper-sensitive people out there. consider yourself among them, cupcake.
I can only agree with the writer of" too many books and too little time". I am also retired and still not enough time in my days.

Susan, I hope you ignore it further. I'll just leave this here...
con·de·scend·ing / ˌkändəˈsendiNG
adjective
adjective condescending
1. having or showing a feeling of patronizing superiority.
synonyms: patronizing supercilious superior snobbish snobby scornful disdainful lofty lordly haughty imperious snooty snotty stuck-up toffee-nosed
I read "Maid" and so glad I did. It's important that people truly understand how difficult it is living on minimum wage. This book is heartfelt and pulls no punches.
I look forward to reading many of these, which on 2 transatlantic flights coming up, I'll get a chance!
I just keep adding books to my "want to read list " and hardly ever taking any to the " finished" column. Digital age has sure opened up the literary field for new writers and some already accomplished writers to be published one way or another. One things for sure there are some great reads out now. Wish I had more time.
Of course I want to read them all! But there are some that our tops on my list! The Priory of The Orange Tree, A Curse So Dark And Lonely, The Silent Patient and Daisy Jones and The Six are ones I can't wait to read! Im surprised that Where The Crawdad Sings is not on this list. Of all the books I hear sbout, everyone I know that has read it raves about it! I can't wait to obtain that one!
The Silent Patient was one of my many snow day reads this year (7 snow days in one month is a big deal in rural WI!) and oh, it made it worth it to miss my students 3 days in one week!
