A new year means new thrills and chills for mystery and thriller lovers. And in 2019 there are plenty of exciting new releases to keep you turning the pages.
To create our list of the year's must-read mysteries and thrillers, we focused on what Goodreads members can't wait to read. How do we measure that anticipation? By taking a look at how many times a book has been added to Want to Read shelves.
We'll also be keeping a lookout for those elusive upcoming releases, including the announced new standalone novel from The Silence of the Lambs author Thomas Harris, which will arrive in book stores in May.

I added a few of these to my ever growing tbr mountain.
Looks like 2019 will be a great reading year!

All essential reads for me this year.

Silver & Salt by Elanor Dymott, I look forward to reading.

I am very much looking forward to this book, though bittersweet at the prospect of having no more Bernie Gunther books.

L. Penny fan as well as L. King and her MARY Russel series. I can't wait to read more of their novels!
