Beth Grant DeRoos I just ordered a slew of newer non fiction books. Seems most people tend toward fiction.

yeh I used to read only fiction as a child. But with time my interest started to change gradually. I'm more into reality now. Now I don't feel like reading fiction. I'm more interested in non-fiction.

Charity, under the Browse heading, click on Giveaways. You have to keep the book on your want-to-read list otherwise your entry won't count.

Just be aware that you may not share your friend's luck in giveaways. The giveaway system has changed this year so now I can't enter as I'm from the UK but I've entered almost 150 giveaways and haven't won a single book.

I feel the opposite way right now. I think it's my way of ignoring all the craziness going on in the world now.

I'm the same, if I can't escape to a different world often enough, this one starts to get me down.

Or it could be simply that we want change? If I had started with non-fictions, i might have lost interest in them by now and shifted to fiction. :D

I noticed the change in the Giveaways - FAR fewer choices, and much poorer ones. I have great difficulty selecting anything I care to win and, while I was winning about 1 - 2 books/year in the past, I haven't won anything since 2016. I haven't bothered to even look for several weeks now. Not impressed at all.

message 16: by Ann (new)

Ann I wanted to enter a giveaway but its not just entering you also need something an app or a book something not sure. If I could just enter a giveaway for a book and have a chance I would be happy.

message 17: by Ann (new)

Ann oh you need to have an Amazon account which I don't so that leaves me unable to enter.I assume even if its not an Amazon book or whatever you still cant enter?
