National Drop Everything and Read Day

Posted by Otis Chandler on April 12, 2007
Someone just pointed out that today is Happy Drop Everything and Read day (DEAR)!

As the official website says, "National D.E.A.R. Day is a special reading celebration to remind and encourage families to make reading together on a daily basis a family priority. "

DEAR was chosen to be April 12 because it is the birthday of Beverly Cleary, who gave DEAR to her character Ramona Quimby.

So enjoy DEAR day!

Kitty Moen I never heard about this day what does it mean to drop everything and read? It is easy to visit https://awriter.org/essaysmaster-com-review/ website to read reviews online. I guess it means to forget about all the other things and enjoy reading the book of your interest.
