Yikes. I joined another writer's group #IWSG

Welcome to my Februaryposting for ISWG. Where we: post our thoughts, talk about our doubts, any fears we may have conquered, discuss our struggles and triumphs, and offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling.
Before I start - sorry for having to scroll down - as I said I, accidentally, double-booked my blog today because I am incapable of reading a calendar! *rolls eyes and shakes head in disgust*
Last month, I wrote about the new writer's group I'd joined. A writer's group where I had to go and meet people. Actual flesh and blood humans!
Well, I am glad to announce – I survived :-). The meeting flowed along swimmingly. Each month they have a writing challenge. I read mine in a strong clear voice – although by the time it was my turn I was a bundle of jelly inside. When I read it, people laughed in all the right places and the applause at the end was genuine.
The challenge was to write a piece – max 750 words – about breaking rules. One of my favourite topics. There were at least 20 writers there and the stories/essays were varied and interesting.
I live way out in the country and the closest city is rather small. I was amazed that there were 20 people at the meeting. I'm looking forward to the next time I can attend, which unfortunately isn't in February as I have a previous engagement on the meeting night.
So what am I insecure about this month? I joined another writer's group. I gotta stop doing that!!! And this group wants a blog post. So?? You're wondering what the problem is as this is a blog post on my blog. Well, when I went to check the blog for the types of posts they do. They are professional looking and writing oriented and that's not me. I don't do posts about "How to write a book." Or "15 Things you should be doing to promote your brand."
If you poke around my blog, you'll see I have the promo blog thing down pat. Having to write something about the profession scares the crap out of me. I never feel like I'm…smart enough…professional enough…worthy???
So I've got a month to get over this or run and hide under a rock somewhere. (Secretly, if you know of a good rock to hide under, let me know.)
I let you know what happens.
