It all starts with an idea

the unseen - start where you are
The life we create is defined by the thoughts we capture in our minds. From the moment we decide to get up until the time we decide to show up for our work, everything originates as an idea.

My decision to write a book came after several years of writing articles for my Facebook community page. The inspiration for each article came almost from a voice within me. I didn’t question it. It always seemed right and the response from the community confirmed that the messages in the articles we helping others.

At one point, I was writing up to 3 articles per day. Some longer than others, but all with important messages that I felt needed to be said. I wanted to offer others comfort, and in that process, I offered myself the comfort too. The saying is true – when teaching we again become the student. We never stop learning and we learn even more through teaching.

So,  we all have ideas in our heads. Just like I had about writing a book. It starts off with a thought and the longer we think about it, the more it crystallizes into a image, a vision. It’s random at first. Almost like a reel of video-strip frames and thoughts flickering without sequence. Suddenly the ego begins to interfere. With the frames. Nervousness creeps in and a desire for order takes focus. We start to want to control it all, to make it all make sense and give it direction. But that need for control comes paired with ideas of it going wrong. Heightend panic commences. Our ego voice rears. It’s voice gets louder and a lingering thought is triggered suggesting that perhaps, our idea but not be such a good idea after all.

Control

When we try to force things, we meet with our own opposition. The ego voice that appears disguise itsself as a form of protection but in truth, the ego greatly dislikes new ideas. New ideas mean change and changes involved risk. The ego voice remains us of past situations where things may have gone wrong. The ego voice will even point out examples which have no real relevante to our new ideas. The ego voice knows that fear is our master and manipulates us with it. The ego uses fear in an attempt to get its way but doesn’t realize that as with all inspiration and intuïtie ideas, that force is never a requirement.

Inspired ideas

Ideas can just pop into our heads our of nowhere, or so it seems. When an idea comes up, we can see it as inspired thought. The point is not to force it further. There is no need after all. Good ideas are just that – good ideas. Its when we allow the ego voice to mess up our inspiration that we get ourselves into trouble. If only we could really trust in the concept, that what is good stays good. What will be, will be, the universe always finds a way.

When we release resistance – the resistance of letting things happening in their own time, as designed, and allow oour ideas to gain their natural momentum – inspiration is able to seep in again and the ego voice is silenced. The release of resistance enables us to recognize what is happening  and  see how we unintentionally blocked the flow of creation and it’s potential. It can take some time to get the engine running again, but that’s perfectly okay. There is never any rush and there is always more than enough time. We need only to start where we are, use what we have and do what we can. To get there, we must realize that all the things we create originate in our heads. It all starts with an idea.
