Goodread's Questions & Answers for Simon Weiner [Author of ‘Supercharge Your Business’]

Goodreads' Question & Answers for Simon Weiner, Bestselling Author of 'Supercharge your Business How to get inspired to write?
Sitting down and writing a book is difficult, especially when there are so many better alternatives. Without doubt the middle and end of the book is very hard to finish and you need to keep in mind the benefits of a bestselling book - sharing your insights with a potentially large audience and the benefits of being a best seller author -. The question comes to mind of 'what are you willing to do to succeed?' And then you simply push yourself to write.
Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
I felt strongly that I want to share my value added business experience experience with other business people. I had giving a presentation on value added in late 2014 to a professional group but that was not sufficient as more people needs to know more about value added. Late 2015, I had a free 3 month window and  I decided I would first try and share this experience through a book first and then use this as a platform to share more widely.

What's your advice for aspiring writers?
Successful writers needs to understand that the number one goal must be to write a book that the target audience wants to read.  This book includes its story, the story of the author and the cover of the book. Once this book is written, it needs to be heavily marketed over several months for people to hear about it and want to buy it. Without these ingredients, the book is likely to fail. Learn from past failures and make your sex book a success.
What are you currently working on?
Without giving the subject away, I am working on a story that will captivate a huge audience and therefore has much higher potential. Most books have a limited audience and there limited upside. Don't write one of these.
What are the best things about being a writer?
For most of us, being a writer is a daunting if not impossible challenge. Once you have faced that challenge head on and beaten it a publishing a book, you get a huge adrenaline rush from that sense of accomplishment. Try it and see.
How to deal with writer's block?
Have you considered why there is the term writer's block? Almost all writers suffer from it and you are just another author to experience it. The critical thing is to recognize writers block for what it is and move on, either re-motivating yourself ( or having someone else like a book coach do this for you) to 'just do it' and/or find a creative way around the block ( by changing the book subject and possibly coming back to the blockage later).
