This might be a bit WEIRD but you are one of the artists that truly inspired me to want to do something with my hobby rather than do just sort of... draw stupid shit on paper. I don't know I always loved Girly and honestly anything else I have read of your
It's ok, that does not sound weird to me!
And to answer your questions, Girly was really very unplanned i the beginning. I knew, of course, that I wanted the two to end up together, but getting there was mostly made up as I went… stuff like the Elephant Problem and even Chuy's introduction were thought up minutes before I drew the comic.
I did things like that for a while, with having only a vague idea of certain things I wanted to occur while improvising mostly everything, up until the end of part 3 when I kind of started an overarching plot I wanted to abandon midway through (the Shadow Guys) and subsequently wrote myself into a wall sticking to it. After that, I decided I didn't want to write that way anymore.
I didn't go so far as to write scripts, but I did at least take some time to get major plot elements worked out before I started drawing the stories. Before I started on Chapter 13 I knew I wanted HappyCo to start making fake sidekicks and that the last chapter would involve the big fight against them. And before I started on 15 I had a whole outline on how I would resolve all the plot threads and had them listed in chronological order.
(btw an example I'd like to point out… I wrote this one entirely planning to repeat it in the flashback later. Check out Chey's face in the comic that followed. This was all influenced by Moral Orel Season 3 and the various callbacks it did to the Seaon 2 finale, from different perspectives)
Anyway…
Sure… I'm ok with people mentioning Girly. It's not like I've completely moved on to a full-fledged new series yet. Sure, it'd be nice if Pink Snow Bunny had as many readers, but that's kind of an unrealistic expectation there…
Thank you!
