I saw today an article in the Washington Post about Trigger Warnings over Greek Mythology. You can see the article here.



It raises an interesting question, should trigger warnings be put on things, such as art, to protect people from adverse reactions to certain stimuli?



My opinion? No.



Life happens. It happens to all of us in one way or another.  There is this symbiotic relationship between art and life. They  need each other to exist.  One cannot exist without the other.  You will come across things in life that scare the ever loving bejesus out of you. Things that replay over and over in your head.  And often times, its those things that – when you see it reflected in art- trigger a response.
