What Is True Liberation?

Today marks the 70th anniversary of Korean liberation from occupation by Japan. It has me reflecting on what is meant by true liberation. I think true liberation is liberation of people's spirit. True liberation is only possible when the current era of material civilization has ended and a new spiritual civilization begins.
