Some people / parents just don’t understand and most likely never will. It’s ridiculous and hurtful but it happens. If you’re trying to come out yourself, I would keep trying to inform them. But if they just won’t understand, you may not even want to bring it up. It’s one of those subjects that’s really hard to come to a reason. My mother used to think that way, never in a funny way, until my twin came out as being gay so she had to accept it. Either accept it or not have him in her life.
