Happy easter.

Thanks everyone for the reblogs! And the well-wishes and everything. I don’t want to sound dramatic, but they may well have helped stave off a nervous breakdown.

So I’ve basically called in pretty much every nest egg I’ve got to help pay off my predicament. This includes an early cash-out of my Roth IRA, because what the hell, it’s not like comic artists ever actually retire, right?

Altogether I’ll still owe about $5k, which, while not as paralyzingly awful as before, will still take some work, and I know it’s all on me here. Looking through my Tumblr archives for that Kids in the Hall video made it pretty clear to me how low my output has been these past several months. Bad luck with mental health has quite a bit to do with why it all started, but I’m still surprised at how much I let things get away. Regardless of how my brain is doing I just need to get back to actually working on comics again.

The Girly collection is sold out, by the way. So that happened! Thanks folks! Sorry to those who missed out! But I do have plenty of individual books which you can be sure I will be regularly trying to convince y’all to buy. Would more Girly spinoff comics provide encouragement? I do have vague plans for Down Together, including, uhhh… editing the last couple strips into finished comics. Admittedly it outlook is pretty vague on this but I wanna do more with W+O.

The Patreon has been adjusted a bit. I really do enjoy working on You Suck, and I want to go back to doing it weekly right now, so I reduced the guarantee to $50 per page, thereby making me promise 4 updates a month. It’s only $25 away from a promise of 5! How ‘bout it?

Mentally, things still kinda suck for me, I won’t lie. But despite these problems, I was able to draw comics before. And it’s likely that having this financial crisis WILL help out with my output in the long run. I’d really rather it didn’t have to come to that, but this is my brain, what can I do?

I’ll be back with more things to sell tomorrow!
