What are you willing to give up in exchange for something better tomorrow?

I love how Seth Godin can, in a very short blog post, make you realize something hugely grand! And today I’m thinking about how much work it takes to achieve “our” greatness.

What we do in the short term could be sabotaging what we desire to achieve in the long term. Sometimes we have to give up something (or everything) in our short term to even see the possibilities of our long term.

What are you willing to give up in exchange for something better tomorrow?

Kris Anymore, nothing. That's how we lived for 30 years, sacrificing today for better reward tomorrow. Then, my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and we were faced with never enjoying any rewards that we spent all those years sacrificing for. We spent all our savings on illness. Now, we drink the wine we put away, we take the trip as soon as the money is there, we use the crystal for everyday, we wear the clothes we were saving for a special occasion to dinner at home. We hug long and hard. The Lord saw us through everything so far. He'll see us through retirement.
