Currently reading the latest book "Written in my own Heart's Blood" #8 in the Outlander series. The revolutionary war is so well depicted and the famous names from the history books have been well brought to life. This book has many very antidotal comments spoken by the main characters. Little things that would be understood by someone who knew them well. This knowledge has come from reading the previous books which introduces and explores their personalities and the way they react to the events which have previously occurred. These comments increase the depth of the characters and further bring them to life. The saga just keeps getting better. Have so enjoyed each of the books of this very inspiring and well written saga.

I've read every book, so far, twice! (There've been only a hand full of books I've read twice - I'm 55 and have read 1000's of books). Love, love, love them! I wasn't too sure about the Jamie and Clare for the show, but I trusted that YOU were, Diana, and after the first couple of shows, I see them clearly, traveling their amazing adventures together...
My favorite author of all time. I've been an avid reader all my life and I'm 33 yrs old. I've read fiction, fantasy, sci-if, mystery, YA, chick lit, romance, etc. Diana is by far the best writer I've ever read. Her attention to detail and the amount of time she spends researching historical figures and events just adds to the flavor of the pictures she paints in your mind. Every book in the Outlander series is just absolutely stunning both due to writing style and the visual imagery she creates in the imagination of the reader. Will reread and adore her books for many years to come.
I've enjoyed the entire Outlander series and am 500 pages into Written in My Own Heart's Blood. This one has quickly become a favorite because of the locations. I grew up near Princeton and Freehold, New Jersey, and have been to the Monmouth Battlefield plus the Battleview and Wemrock Orchards. As an adult I moved to PA and crossed the Delaware River daily at New Hope (formerly Coryell's Ferry). I've gotten a huge kick out of Jamie and Claire's adventures in an area I know so well.Kudos Diana, for capturing the beauty and ruggedness that is Philly/central Jersey/Brooklyn.

Then I went to Penn State and lived in central PA for 10 yrs. Now I'm in the Raleigh, NC area and have visited the mountains of Asheville. I plan to visit Scotland some day soon. Also, I've been a nurse for 11 yrs and I found my Jamie about 4 yrs ago and we married 6 mo after we met in an Irish pub. This story really touches my heart :)
My daughter gave Outlander to read and said mom you are going to love this book. I love to read and I guess she got that from me. I read Outlander and love them I was the one buying your books as soon as they came out and love and read the ones all ready read any time a new one came out. Now I order them as I know you have a new one coming. I love every one off them do not know how many times read them. Diana you are one of the best writers I have read books from. Love your writting style ,your back ground , your description that bring your characters to life. Was worry about the series on TV as they always ruin the books but they have done justice to the book and the characters and the land. Keep it up. Looking toward the next book.
