NaNoWriMo and other fun stuff

I finally did it. I've taken the NaNoWriMo challenge. I'm going to try to do the seemingly impossible task of writing a novel in a month. 50k words. God help me. LOL

So far I've gotten to a pretty good start. I have a brand new novel titled The Pros and Cons of Being a Teenage Fairy. My character's name is Julia 'Jules' Negron (first time I have a Hispanic character in a long time) so we'll see how this goes. So far I'm having fun with it and just writing the first thing that pops into my head.

What else has happened? Oh yeah, getting ready for Faerie Con East, I've been waiting for this event ALL YEAR. So excited to finally get a chance to go. I'll be sharing the table with my partner in crime Elizabeth Kolodziej aka Esther Wheelmaker and I also convinced my oldest, and dearest friend (practically family at this point) Kristen (aka Megumi Kitten). It's definitely going to be a memorable weekend and yes, I will take a TON of pictures and post them here.

Another thing that I'm into these days? Perler beads. Seriously....to the point of distraction. I'm making perler bead stuff when I should be writing. Searching for perler bead patterns when I should be doing research for my writing. I have beads in the brain guys.
