People with epilepsy are just that: they are people. With epilepsy comes misunderstandings. Epileptics do not swallow their tongues, are not always 'retarded' and can lead perfectly normal lives.
Men, women and children suffer with epilepsy. It can start at any age and for any reason, whether it be from illness, injury or from an unknown cause.
