Due to BN’s current tech and business glitches, my books have been gathering dust on their virtual shelves.
They have recently removed download links from the My Nook section of their website. WHAT?! You can buy Nook books, but only if you want to read them on your Nook or Nook app. If you’ve got another .epub based reader, well, you’re screwed. You can’t read them on any other devices. BN has confirmed that you can no longer sideload books. Great move, guys. People always go for companies that offer less freedom.
Is it any wonder that BN is doing better at selling toys than books?
BN can do what it thinks is best for its business, but I’m going to do what is best for mine. So I’m going to pull my books from all other retailers and go exclusively with Amazon for 3 months to take advantage of their programs.
If you’ve been holding off on purchasing any of my titles (not including Riding Fear Free) from BN, iTunes, Sony, or Kobo, now is the time. They’ll be off sale today.
Please note that all my ebooks are sold DRM-free. You can purchase a copy from any retailer and convert the file to whatever type you need using a free downloadable program such as
Calibre.
