Here is a little excerpt from my free read, The Appointment

“You’d have to call and make an appointment.”

He laughed as she hoped he would. Making an appointment was something she had teased him about in the beginning. He was one of the few clients that never called, who just showed up on the doorstep every now and then for a quickie. “I don’t have the number.”

This was the point where she was supposed to let it go. Right now, she should make another joke, collect his money, and then discreetly leave the room. What she should not be doing was reaching into her pocket for the plain white business card with the private number on it—the card she gave out to preferred clients.

A smile curved his full lips, and Charlotte didn’t think she’d ever seen anything so sexy, so downright sinful before in her entire life. He plucked the card from her hand and held it up between his index and middle fingers. “I’m going to hold you to this.”

Promises, promises, she thought even as she swallowed back the lump in her throat.
