Imagination.

In a theme from my story a central character gave a gift of friendship and it occurred to me that as children we regularly use are imagination for enjoyment. Later in life we become involved with every day things and miss out on a really enjoyable pass time. I would like you to go on a journey with me.

First find a place were you can be comfortable and not be disturbed. After reading this close your eyes and relive the experience.

It is a glorious day and there has just been a short summer fall of rain but you are in the dry laying on your back under some green foliage. You can see up through the gaps in the leaves a beautiful blue sky with fluffy white clouds and then a rainbow. Lower in the foliage is a large spiders web that is gently moving as droplets of rain shimmer and sparkle with gorgeous colour.
It is mid day and the birds are singing happy to be alive. You can smell lavender and in the distance the sound of a burbling brook. Everything is bright and vibrant after the life enhancing rain.

You see a white butterfly then a new multi coloured species and shape you have never seen before. You become aware of grasshoppers and the faint regular croaking of frogs. Near you are some red tulips and yellow daffodils behind them tall sunflowers that are swaying in the breeze. Busy bees are pollinating them as fast as they can.

A red squirrel runs a long the branch of a tree opposite you and then returns clutching a nut in its front hand like paws half way along the branch he is covered by a large ominous shadow. It drops the nut and scurry s away up the bough of the tree for safety. The reason for the squirrels retreat soon shows itself as a large deep black coloured bird swoops down and within arms reach of you gathers up the nut. It struts along although it can see you it has no fear and for a brief moment you experience the joy of being part of nature with harmony.

The bird eats the nut and when finished departs. The weather is very warm and you feel the relaxing heat of the Sun and close your eyes. You relax to enjoy the most refreshing sleep.
