Chapter 182: Planning Ahead
Amidst anecdotes of rough patches in Taweel’s training, his wings did their good work, hastening the healing of his apprentice’s injury.
“I see my mistake.” Tamaes scratched under the edge of his bandage. “Too much cherubim. Not enough hadarim.”
“We are defenders.”
“Next time, I will defend you. Or Omri.”
“Good plan.” Taweel was even more certain Tamaes was ready. “We should take a trip into humankind’s realm.”
“Why?”
“Tracking, mostly. Although someone we know was recently Sent into Time. He would welcome a visit.”
Tamaes must have guessed their destination, for his eyes took on a shine. “Good plan!”
