The Met and Times Square

Yesterday as we were leaving Central Park we came upon the Apple Store, with its famous glass cube. Next door was FAO Schwarz, the Toy Store from the movie Big. We played on the giant piano and took our pictures with giant Lego figures.

Today was an exhausting trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. There’s nothing quite as wonderful as being thou roughly worn out from looking at art. So many great names, Warhol, Van Gogh, Matisse, Degas, Seurat, Picasso, Polluck, plus a myriad of ancient artworks.

It rained as we were walking through Times Square looking for somewhere to eat. We ended up at Bubba Gump’s Shrimp Co. Too bad the kids haven’t seen Forest Gump!

 

Now we have to decide whether to trust the weather report and see the Museum of Natural History tomorrow or throw caution to the wind and check out the Statue of Liberty.
