WHAT NEXT?

I’m about to head back out in a few hours, to do my _last_ US/Canadian book-tour event in Traverse City, MI. But thought I might grab an hour to do a bit of updating before I absquatulate again…

First–I’m delighted that so many of you like MOBY!* Thank you so much for all your kind words.

As for the next book(s), I have no idea. I finished writing MOBY on April 15th (having stayed up 36 hours straight to do it), spent the rest of April working 16 hours a day to finish the copyedits and galle...

Sophia Well that is a nice update that works for me. I do not wished to be brained by a book the size of Moby so I will definitely not ask when is book 9 coming. Haha!

Beth Klein I am loving it! I read things I like way too quickly so I am actively savoring this.... It is like getting together with friends you have been missing ..... Bravo

Shannon Green DesRoche I read this blog post on Facebook the other day, just prior to finishing MOBY, so I had steeled myself for the ending. I promise to not beg for more, because I know good things come to those who wait, as is proven by the last seven books in the series! I didn't find the end of MOBY to be a cliffhanger at all. Instead, I feel very well positioned to pick up the thread where we are leaving it off when it is good and ready to be picked up again. There won't be anything idle about my waiting though. There are countless great authors out there who will help me pass the time... and I can ALWAYS go back and re-read!! Thank you, Diana!!

Dar I finally finished MOBY (I rationed it so it would last longer) and hated it when I reached the end. It was like saying good-bye to really dear, long-time friends and watching them drive down the street, knowing you won't see or hear from them for a long, long time. They say they'll stay in touch, but you know how things change in our lives and how busy we get and we have this big hole in our hearts, and we go on with our lives. Then one day, hopefully, they reappear and we pick up just where we left off as old, long-time friends do...

Lynda Just finished MOBY, loved it! I too took my time to make it last. Thank you Diana

message 6: by Demetria (new)

Demetria I finished reading it a few days ago. Now I'm listenning to it. Ihave some questions. They don't seem to be the same questions other people are asking, so I'm trying to see if I missed something. My main question is about the desk: wasn't that the reverend's desk? How did Roger get that letter to Bree from Lallybrock? It seemed to me like he put it in the Lallybrock desk when he was there with Brian, but...did the reverend then get Brian's desk??? And, if the desk had to be disassembled to get it int Lallybroch, then how come they didn't find the letters when they got it in? Also, Buck new about the secret compartment...did he read Roger's letter before he wrote it? Did he read Frank's? Looking forward to the story about how Bree and family get to Fraser Ridge; did they go to the future and fly accross the ocean or find a way of getting from one stone circle to another? I really enjoyed this book, especially that it doesn't feel like it ended in the middle, like Echo. Oh, one more thing: I googled the Brahan Seer, LOL! Will he be related to Claire?

Phyllis Runyan I loved MOBY. When I started it, it was like these are my family. I love all the characters even the bad ones.

Marianne I read all the books over the last two months and can't wait for the next... I have a lot more to read though with all the LJG books! Thank you Diana!
