Straight from the desk of Alice Brown & Lady V:

A busy week on the home front this week as we prepared for our adopted family's reunion.  We held our breath that the rain would hold off Saturday afternoon until after everyone ate, since we had 55+ people all outside.  Thankfully, the rain did hold off until late afternoon, giving us perfect weather for the event.

We are continuously working on Ivormantis, Dragons of Dragonose 3 and expect to have this book finished very soon.  Also, Lady V is working hard on My Beloved Werewolf.  Below is a small sample of that story.  We are anticipating this book to be finished in July and hoping for a release date in September.  We will, of course, keep everyone updated as this book progresses.

Oh, one last thing.  We will be setting up the release party for Fire & Ice, Dragons of Dragonose 2 to be held on July 8th on facebook this week.  For those who are facebook buddies with me or follow us, keep an eye out for details!  We will be bringing in special guests, giving away a lot of nice prizes, and having fun as always!

This week's featured author is:  Lynne St. James

Welcome Lynne!  We are so excited to have you on our blog.  And, I hear you have a new book coming out this week, so I am hoping you'll tell us all about it.

AND....

Lynne has decided she wants to give away a free copy of her new book, Embracing Her Surrender to one lucky fan!  All you have to do to enter to win is leave a comment below.  Be sure to include your email so we have a way of getting in touch with you!

First of all, I want to thank you, Alice and Lady V, for allowing me the opportunity to visit with you today.  I really appreciate the opportunity to share about my new book, releasing tomorrow, Embracing Her Surrender – book 2 in the Anamchara series.

In Embracing Her Surrender we revisit the town of Anamchara and the many residents there, but this book focuses on the story of Kristy and Jeremy.  We met them in Book 1 and they demanded that their story be told next.

But before we get in to all that, let me tell you all a little about me, I’m recently married to the love of my life.  It took kissing a lot of frogs to find my prince but it was definitely worth it.  We are the “parents” of four fur babies – two dogs and two cats, and I’m also the mother of two daughters and a son.

Lady V and I had the pleasure of attending Lynne's wedding.  It was beautiful, and she looked so happy and content.  Her soon to be husband was a bit nervous, but he didn't pass out, so everything went fine!

We live in the sunshine state, where it is mostly lives up to its name.  By day I work in the Internet Technology world and by night I explore the many worlds of my making.   I am truly blessed to have such a supportive husband who makes sure I eat, sleep and laugh daily.

I fully admit to being a coffee and chocolate addict, and when I’m not writing, or working, I’m reading, cooking, or taking photographs.  Someday I hope to travel around the globe taking pictures and setting my books in each country I visit.

How long have you been writing, Lynne?

I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember, in fact when I was really young I would draw picture books and read them to the neighbor kids when we’d play outside.

What drove you to writing?

I’m not sure really, except the need to release all the ideas bottling up in my brain.  I can look at almost any situation and find a story which needs to be told.

What do you feel the most comfortable writing?  (Shifter, Mystery, Cowboy, etc.)

I have written contemporary, romantic suspense, poetry, children’s stories and paranormal – both erotic and regular.  I’m not sure I have one I’m most comfortable with, but for sure, I have the most paranormal/fantasy stories in my head right now.  Although, there is another series which is really pushing to be written and that will be contemporary.

Who’s your favorite author?

I can’t pick just one, there are so many.  A few of them would be Julie Garwood, Laurell K. Hamilton, Charlaine Harris, Kim Harrison, Tom Clancy, Charles Dickens, Bram Stoker, Kresley Cole, Kristen Painter, Roxanne St. Claire and Elle Saint James.   There really are so many more I have on my keeper shelf but too many to list here.

What are the best times for you to write?

At least for now my best and most productive writing times are between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m.  This isn’t the best with a full time job, but there have been many days where I’ve stayed up all night writing and then gone right to work, especially when I have a deadline.

When you are not writing, what do you enjoy doing?

I love to cook, bake, take photographs, walking on the beach…wait I’m not advertising for a mate! LOL Seriously though, I do love all of those things and especially just hanging with my husband and reading.

Okay, we are anxious to hear about your new book.  Can you tell us about it?

Embracing Her Surrender , to be released on June 24th.

In Embracing Her Surrender we return to the town of Anamchara, located deep in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.  A town created of magic and where love is meant to flourish.

Warning:  For Mature Adult Audiences.  Contains language and actions some may deem offensive.  MF

In book two of Anamchara:  Kristy Larson was sent to Anamchara on a secret mission—locate the ancient evil threatening the town and extinguish it. She struggles with fitting in as the sheriff hounds her at every turn.  To make matters worse, she finds herself drawn to the arrogant, stubborn wolf who is on the fast track of capturing her heart.

Jeremy Pierce, sheriff and Alpha of the Blue Ridge Pack, has been fighting his own demons for over thirty years.  Blaming himself for the murder of a friend, he left Anamchara to forget.  When called back to fulfill his birthright, he focused on one thing—keeping the people of Anamchara safe.  In his mind, one woman threatens their safety.  Suspicions rule his judgment, but it still doesn't stop the feelings from growing for the woman.

Will Kristy be able to complete her mission to free the town of evil and finally live her life?  Will Jeremy be able to overlook his suspicions and open his heart to Kristy before it’s too late?  Or does the evil win this round, causing the town of Anamchara to suffer a great loss.

Thank you Lynne for stopping by and chatting with us.  Embracing Her Surrender will be available on all major buy sites Tuesday, June 24!  Can't wait, we'll be grabbing our copy!

A Message from the Paws:  Shadow

I think the cats are starting to like me!  Well, one is tolerating me at least.  The other one may be hopeless.  But look, my human mama took this photo as proof that we can even share the same space!  She said she never would have thought that would happen!

Oh, and I had my first outside bath this past week!  The humans bought me a kiddie swimming pool so I can stay cool this summer.  Then they came home and filled it, but they also attached the car wash wand to the end of the hose and used it to give me a bath!
