Nerd among nerds: Spelling bee live tweet

I love the national spelling bee. The glory, the heartbreak, the painfully awkward middle schoolers, the beyond-intense parents and coaches (yes, of course there are spelling coaches--don't you know my people by now?), the nerd camaraderie, all of it.

So while this might not seem like something that would ordinarily happen, like, in the world, somehow I was inspired to live tweet it. In haiku. I realize this is even more dorky than the spelling bee itself, but let's just go with it, shall we?

It's not that easy pronouncing chrysochloros while wearing braces. #spellingbee

The bee's changed so much. Kids that used to to fingerspell now air keyboard words. #spellingbee
