Thanks. The truth is, it was never intended (by me) to be an ongoing. I pitched a 12 issue maxi-mini. I was pretty surprised when it was announced as a new ongoing, and I never intended to stick with it beyond my twelve issues. The cynical interpretation is that Marvel solicited the series as an ongoing because they know first issues of a new ongoing will launch better than first issues of a limited series.
