WEEKEND WRITING WARRIORS_A GOLD NUGGET DROPPED INTO MY LAP
I've been searching for some time for a blog hop for authors. And now I have finally found one to join. This weekend I am linking up with Weekend Writing Warriors, to bring you an 8 sentence snippet of my latest novel, BeJeweled: The Flight of an Angel. And I have to thank fellow author M.j. The other side of me is a lost little girl, feeling insecure and just needing a hug, a word of affirmation from you saying she will be okay. The other side of me is the one who wishes Black was nothing like her Daddy, the one who sees the beauty that Black truly is, while society says that black is just an ugly color, a pit of negativity. The other side of me is the woman that loves and needs you to be true to wash away her inner fears and secret tears. The other side of me is the one that you’re driving crazy when you stay out late nights. The other side of me is the woman who wonders what could’ve been, what should’ve been. The other side of me is the one that’s calling the hospitals praying you’ve not been hurt; the one that’s going online checking the local jails to see if you’ve been locked up; the one that cringes every time a car door slams praying the police aren’t showing up with a sad tale for me and the little boy in the other room. The other side of me is just a little girl who wants to be loved.”
