WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOUR LIFE PLANS CHANGE? MONDAY MOTIVATIONAL MOMENT

We must be willing to relinquish the life we've planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us. - Joseph Campbell

HEALTHY MIND:

I have often been a victim of the failure of my own plans. When I finally accepted that I could not control every iota of my life, I then had to make peace with those things that were beyond my control. The constant worrying and stressing resulted in an unhappy life, pressing my feelings on those closest to me.

What I was worrying and stressing about was the outcomes of the things that I could not control. I am coming into a place of acceptance. Acceptance that while I cannot control all the outcomes of life, I can control my attitude towards those things. Changing my mindset to a positive one has changed my perspective on life and my situations.

This is not to say that all things will be something we welcome in our lives. However, believing positive outcomes, focusing on positive thoughts, and exhibiting positive behaviors will attract positive results.

Above all, the most important fact I have learned is that my God will keep me in perfect peace during the storms of life...regardless of the outcome. Now that I have gained that understanding, I am finally embracing the life that was destined for me. The life He planned for me, with all of its blessings, laughter, joy, peace, healing, deliverance, and freedom.
