To enter to win a copy of "Timbrel" or "The Trouble With Poetry" just leave your name and e-mail address in the comment section of this blog by midnight (Hawaii time) on April 30, 2014. I will randomly choose 2 lucky winners the week of May 1, 2014.
"The trouble with poetry," writes Billy Collins in his book of this title, "is that it encourages the writing of more poetry....and how will it ever end?" Poems tend to pester me until I get them out of my head and down on paper and set them free. I have one called "Crowning Glory" or "Crown Chakra" - not sure of the title yet - about my mother's hair that I will be working on this month. Maybe it will be a part of a series of poems about hair?
Another writing project I am very excited about is my first children's picture book that I will be publishing soon on Amazon's Create Space. The setting is Seattle's Green Lake and it contains photo illustrations by Northwest painter, ~D.ita Louise. The title is "The Green Lake Gifting Game."
